  • Applications
  • Western Blot (Cell lysate)
  • Western Blot (Cell lysate)
  • Cell lysates of HepG2 (60 ug) were resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to NC membrane and probed with RBP4 monoclonal antibody, clone AT2B4 (Cat # MAB3211 ; 1 : 500). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and an ECL detection system.
  • Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
  • Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
  • Paraffin embedded sections of human gastric cancer tissue were incubated with RBP4 monoclonal antibody, clone AT2B4 (Cat # MAB3211 ; 1 : 25) for 2 hours at room temperature. Antigen retrieval was performed in 100 mM sodium citrate buffer and detected using Diaminobenzidine (DAB).

  • 5950
  • Gene Name:
  • RBP4
  • Gene Alias:
  • -
  • Gene Description:
  • retinol binding protein 4, plasma
  • Gene Summary:
  • This protein belongs to the lipocalin family and is the specific carrier for retinol (vitamin A alcohol) in the blood. It delivers retinol from the liver stores to the peripheral tissues. In plasma, the RBP-retinol complex interacts with transthyretin which prevents its loss by filtration through the kidney glomeruli. A deficiency of vitamin A blocks secretion of the binding protein posttranslationally and results in defective delivery and supply to the epidermal cells. [provided by RefSeq
