Product Description
Mouse monoclonal antibody raised against native ITGB3.
Immunogen
Native purified human ITGB3.
Host
Mouse
Reactivity
Human
Specificity
This antibody reacts with b3 integrin including the GPIIIa of platelets. b3-Integrins contain receptors for vitronectin, fibrinogen, and Von Willebrands factor and, in some instances fibronectin. The b3-Integrin subunit is a common subunit protein for this integrin family. The aIIb-Integrin subunit is a specific marker for platelets and megakaryocytes and can be utilized for this purpose in various immunological techniques. Monoclonal antibodies against the b3-Integrin subunits and the aIIb-Integrin subunit can be used in immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation and immunostaining experiments. Monoclonal antibody to b3 integrin is derived from the hybridoma produced by fusion between myeloma cells and Balb/c spleen cells.

HyperlinkGene Summary
The ITGB3 protein product is the integrin beta chain beta 3. Integrins are integral cell-surface proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain. A given chain may combine with multiple partners resulting in different integrins. Integrin beta 3 is found along with the alpha IIb chain in platelets. Integrins are known to participate in cell adhesion as well as cell-surface mediated signalling. [provided by RefSeq
