Mouse monoclonal antibody raised against native SPN.
Native purified SPN from human T lymphocytes.
This antibody recognizes neuraminidase-sensitive epitope on CD43 (Leukosialin), CD43 is expressed by platelets and at high levels on the surface of all leukocytes; it is negative on resting B lymphocytes and erythrocytes.

Sialophorin (leukosialin) is a major sialoglycoprotein on the surface of human T lymphocytes, monocytes, granulocytes, and some B lymphocytes, which appears to be important for immune function and may be part of a physiologic ligand-receptor complex involved in T-cell activation.[supplied by OMIM
