    Gene Summary

This gene was isolated using microarray hybridization to screen for gene expression differences between fetal and adult testes. The conserved testis development-related genes found in both human and mouse testes may include genes that are likely to be involved in testicular functions, including spermatogenesis. This gene had higher expression in adults, compared to 6-month embryos. The specific function of this gene product has not been determined. Alternative splicing has been observed at this locus and three transcript variants, each encoding a distinct isoform, have been identified. [provided by RefSeq
