Rabbit monoclonal antibody raised against a human PROC peptide using ARM Technology.
A synthetic peptide of human PROC is used for rabbit immunization. Customer or Abnova will decide on the preferred peptide sequence.
Quality Control Testing:
Antibody reactive against human PROC peptide by ELISA and mammalian transfected lysate by Western Blot.
In 1x PBS, pH 7.4
Store at -20°C or lower. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
1. Customer may provide cell or tissue lysate for antibody screening. 2. Rabbit monoclonal antibody generated by ARM technology is amenable to antibody engineering including F(ab)2, IgG, scFv and different Fc and non-Fc conjugates per customer request.
The PROC gene encodes protein C (EC 18.104.22.168), a vitamin K-dependent plasma glycoprotein that is a key component of the anticoagulant system. Protein C is cleaved to its activated form, 'activated protein C' (APC) on endothelial cells by the thrombin-thrombomodulin complex (MIM 176930; MIM 188040) and then acts as a serine protease to degrade the activated forms of coagulation factors V (F5; MIM 612309) and VIII (F8; see MIM 306700). Protein S (PROS1; MIM 176880), also a vitamin K-dependent plasma protein, functions as a cofactor to activated protein C.[supplied by OMIM
