Applications
Western Blot (Transfected lysate)
Western Blot analysis of JUP expression in transfected 293T cell line (H00003728-T01) by JUP MaxPab polyclonal antibody.
Lane 1: JUP transfected lysate(81.70 KDa).
Lane 2: Non-transfected lysate.
In situ Proximity Ligation Assay (Cell)
Proximity Ligation Analysis of protein-protein interactions between JUP and APC. HeLa cells were stained with anti-JUP rabbit purified polyclonal 1:1200 and anti-APC mouse monoclonal antibody 1:50. Each red dot represents the detection of protein-protein interaction complex, and nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue). -

HyperlinkGene Summary
This gene encodes a major cytoplasmic protein which is the only known constituent common to submembranous plaques of both desmosomes and intermediate junctions. This protein forms distinct complexes with cadherins and desmosomal cadherins and is a member of the catenin family since it contains a distinct repeating amino acid motif called the armadillo repeat. Mutation in this gene has been associated with Naxos disease. Alternative splicing occurs in this gene; however, not all transcripts have been fully described. [provided by RefSeq
