Rabbit monoclonal antibody raised against a human EIF2S1 peptide using ARM Technology.
A synthetic peptide of human EIF2S1 is used for rabbit immunization. Customer or Abnova will decide on the preferred peptide sequence.
Quality Control Testing:
Antibody reactive against human EIF2S1 peptide by ELISA and mammalian transfected lysate by Western Blot.
In 1x PBS, pH 7.4
Store at -20°C or lower. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
1. Customer may provide cell or tissue lysate for antibody screening. 2. Rabbit monoclonal antibody generated by ARM technology is amenable to antibody engineering including F(ab)2, IgG, scFv and different Fc and non-Fc conjugates per customer request.
The translation initiation factor eIF2 catalyzes the first regulated step of protein synthesis initiation, promoting the binding of the initiator tRNA to 40S ribosomal subunits. Binding occurs as a ternary complex of methionyl-tRNA, eIF2, and GTP. eIF2 is composed of 3 nonidentical subunits, alpha (36 kD), beta (38 kD, MIM 603908), and gamma (52 kD, MIM 300161). The rate of formation of the ternary complex is modulated by the phosphorylation state of eIF2-alpha (Ernst et al., 1987 [PubMed 2948954]).[supplied by OMIM
