    QC Testing of DI0530
Representative image of Proximity Ligation Assay of protein-protein interactions between IL1A and IL1R2. HeLa cells were stained with anti-IL1A rabbit purified polyclonal antibody 1:1200 and anti-IL1R2 mouse monoclonal antibody 1:50. Each red dot represents the detection of protein-protein interaction complex. The images were analyzed using an optimized freeware (BlobFinder) download from The Centre for Image Analysis at Uppsala University.
  • Supplied Product:
  • Antibody pair set content:
    1. IL1A rabbit purified polyclonal antibody (20 ug)
    2. IL1R2 mouse monoclonal antibody (40 ug)
*Reagents are sufficient for at least 30-50 assays using recommended protocols.
  • Storage Instruction:
  • Store reagents of the antibody pair set at -20°C or lower. Please aliquot to avoid repeated freeze thaw cycle. Reagents should be returned to -20°C storage immediately after use.

  • Gene Information
  • Entrez GeneID:
  • 3552
  • Gene Name:
  • IL1A
  • Gene Alias:
  • IL-1A,IL1,IL1-ALPHA,IL1F1
  • Gene Description:
  • interleukin 1, alpha
  • Gene Summary:
  • The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. This cytokine is a pleiotropic cytokine involved in various immune responses, inflammatory processes, and hematopoiesis. This cytokine is produced by monocytes and macrophages as a proprotein, which is proteolytically processed and released in response to cell injury, and thus induces apoptosis. This gene and eight other interleukin 1 family genes form a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 2. It has been suggested that the polymorphism of these genes is associated with rheumatoid arthritis and Alzheimer's disease. [provided by RefSeq

  • IL1A (IL1F1),hematopoietin-1,preinterleukin 1 alpha,pro-interleukin-1-alpha
  • Gene Information
  • Entrez GeneID:
  • 7850
  • Gene Name:
  • IL1R2
  • Gene Alias:
  • CD121b,IL1RB,MGC47725
  • Gene Description:
  • interleukin 1 receptor, type II
  • Gene Summary:
  • The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine receptor that belongs to the interleukin 1 receptor family. This protein binds interleukin alpha (IL1A), interleukin beta (IL1B), and interleukin 1 receptor, type I(IL1R1/IL1RA), and acts as a decoy receptor that inhibits the activity of its ligands. Interleukin 4 (IL4) is reported to antagonize the activity of interleukin 1 by inducing the expression and release of this cytokine. This gene and three other genes form a cytokine receptor gene cluster on chromosome 2q12. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been reported.
