Applications
Western Blot (Transfected lysate)
Western blot analysis of CPT1B (arrow) using rabbit CPT1B polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4375). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected with the CPT1B gene (Lane 2).Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocellular carcinoma tissue reacted with CPT1B polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4375) , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining . This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated . HC = hepatocarcinoma .Enzyme-linked Immunoabsorbent Assay

HyperlinkGene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene, a member of the carnitine/choline acetyltransferase family, is the rate-controlling enzyme of the long-chain fatty acid beta-oxidation pathway in muscle mitochondria. This enzyme is required for the net transport of long-chain fatty acyl-CoAs from the cytoplasm into the mitochondria. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene, and read-through transcripts are expressed from the upstream locus that include exons from this gene.
