Tissue lysates of mouse spleen (35 ug) were resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to NC membrane and probed with LTA monoclonal antibody, clone AT15A3 (Cat # MAB8481) (1 : 1000). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and an ECL detection system.
Immunofluorescence
Immunofluorescence of human HeLa cells stained with LTA monoclonal antibody, clone AT15A3 (Cat # MAB8481) (1 : 500) with Texas Red (Red). Nucleus was stained by Hoechst 33342 (Blue).
The encoded protein, a member of the tumor necrosis factor family, is a cytokine produced by lymphocytes. The protein is highly inducible, secreted, and forms heterotrimers with lymphotoxin-beta which anchor lymphotoxin-alpha to the cell surface. This protein also mediates a large variety of inflammatory, immunostimulatory, and antiviral responses, is involved in the formation of secondary lymphoid organs during development and plays a role in apoptosis. Genetic variations in this gene are associated with susceptibility to leprosy type 4 and psoriatic arthritis
