  • Specification
  • Product Description:
  • Mouse monoclonal antibody raised against native IBSP.
  • Immunogen:
  • Native purified IBSP from lymphocytes and SU-DHL4 cell line.
  • Host:
  • Mouse
  • Reactivity:
  • Human
  • Specificity:
  • This antibody is reactive with cell surface proteins sensitive to neuraminidase, present on a subpopulation of mature B-cells, mainly germinal center B-cells. In non-lymphoid tissues, epithelial cells from several organs and in the bone marrow red blood cell precursors are stained. The LN-1 antibody is reactive on routinely processed paraffin embedded sections and is therefore an excellent marker for B-cell malignancies.

  • Gene Information
  • Entrez GeneID:
  • 3381
  • Gene Name:
  • IBSP
  • Gene Alias:
  • BNSP,BSP,BSP-II,SP-II
  • Gene Description:
  • integrin-binding sialoprotein
  • Gene Summary:
  • The protein encoded by this gene is a major structural protein of the bone matrix. It constitutes approximately 12% of the noncollagenous proteins in human bone and is synthesized by skeletal-associated cell types, including hypertrophic chondrocytes, osteoblasts, osteocytes, and osteoclasts. The only extraskeletal site of its synthesis is the trophoblast. This protein binds to calcium and hydroxyapatite via its acidic amino acid clusters, and mediates cell attachment through an RGD sequence that recognizes the vitronectin receptor. [provided by RefSeq
  • Other Designations:
  • bone sialoprotein II
