CytoQuest™ Dx- Circulating Rare Cell Positive Enrichment & Retrieval Automation

Three major subtypes of circulating rare cells in clinical applications are circulating tumor cells (CTCs), circulating progenitor cells (CPCs), and circulating fetal cells (CFCs). Abnova’s CytoQuest™ Dx is a revolutionary bio-robotic automation for isolation of CTCs. CytoQuest™ Dx leverages the positive enrichment, microfluidic technology of CytoQuest™ CR for CTC capture and automates all the physical operations involved in antibody immobilization, sample loading, CTC immuno-labeling and staining. It provides unprecedented precision, accuracy, and reproducibility required for clinical adoption.

CytoQuest™ Dx combines microfluidics, XYZ liquid handler, robotics, sensors and smart software to perform complex biological tasks of CTC isolation. Starting from prepared blood sample in collection tube, the XYZ and 6-axial robotic arm simulate pipetting, aspirating, transferring, washing, labeling and staining of CTCs on the chip, sample chamber, and microfluidic modules. The versatile robotic arm is guided by a multitude of real-time optical, electrical, and mechanical sensors, and intelligent algorithm for high throughput and multi-task functions. The entire workflow is operated under a self-contained, HEPA filtered environment to minimize cross contamination.

CytoQuest™ Dx meets the rigorous requirements of high volume and precision sample processing by bridging a seamless transition from CytoQuest™ CR clinical research platform to a robust in vitro diagnostic workstation. CytoQuest™ Dx is supported by same repertoire of circulating epithelial and tumor cell kits, FISH probes, and peripheral bioreagents as for CytoQuest™ CR.
