Applications
Western Blot (Cell lysate)
Western blot analysis of K562 (A), C6 (B), NIH3T3 (C) whole cell lysates with Collagen 3 alpha 1 recombinant monoclonal antibody (Cat # RAB02484).Immunocytochemistry
Immunofluorescence
Immunofluorescent analysis of HeLa cells with Collagen 3 alpha 1 recombinant monoclonal antibody (Cat # RAB02484). Formalin-fixed cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS for 5-10 minutes and blocked with 3% BSA-PBS for 30 minutes at room temperature. Cells were probed with the primary antibody in 3% BSA-PBS and incubated overnight at 4 °C in a hidified chamber. Cells were washed with PBST and incubated with a AF488-conjugated secondary antibody (green) in PBS at room temperature in the dark.Immunoprecipitation

HyperlinkGene Summary
This gene encodes the pro-alpha1 chains of type III collagen, a fibrillar collagen that is found in extensible connective tissues such as skin, lung, uterus, intestine and the vascular system, frequently in association with type I collagen. Mutations in this gene are associated with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome types IV, and with aortic and arterial aneurysms. Two transcripts, resulting from the use of alternate polyadenylation signals, have been identified for this gene. [provided by R. Dalgleish
