Applications
Western Blot (Recombinant protein)
Western blot using IL17A polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB16922) shows detection of a band ~17 KDa in size corresponding to recombinant human IL17A. After transfer, the membrane was blocked overnight with 3% BSA in TBS followed by reaction with primary antibody at a 1 : 1,000 dilution. Detection occurred using DyLight 649 conjugated anti-Rabbit IgG secondary antibody diluted 1 : 20,000 in blocking buffer. Image was captured using VersaDoc™ MP 4000 imaging system (Bio-Rad).Enzyme-linked Immunoabsorbent Assay

HyperlinkGene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a proinflammatory cytokine produced by activated T cells. This cytokine regulates the activities of NF-kappaB and mitogen-activated protein kinases. This cytokine can stimulate the expression of IL6 and cyclooxygenase-2 (PTGS2/COX-2), as well as enhance the production of nitric oxide (NO). High levels of this cytokine are associated with several chronic inflammatory diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and multiple sclerosis. [provided by RefSeq
