Escherichia coli expression system
Purity
> 95% as determined by (a) RP-HPLC.(b) SDS-PAGE.
Activity
The biological activity is determined by the ability to block human BAFF induced T2B cell survival using a concentration range of 1.0-3.0 ug/mL corresponding to a specific activity of 334-1000 IU/mg. Fully biologically active when compared to standard.
Storage Buffer
Lyophilized from a solution containing 1X PBS, pH 7.4. Reconstitute the lyophilized powder in ddH2O to 100 ug/mL.
Storage Instruction
Lyophilized protein at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored at -20°C. Protein aliquots at 4°C for 2-7 days and should be stored at -20°C to -80°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. -

Gene Description
tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, member 13B
Gene Ontology
HyperlinkGene Summary
The protein encoded by this gene is a lymphocyte-specific member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor superfamily. It interacts with calcium-modulator and cyclophilin ligand (CAML). The protein induces activation of the transcription factors NFAT, AP1, and NF-kappa-B and plays a crucial role in humoral immunity by interacting with a TNF ligand. This gene is located within the Smith-Magenis syndrome region on chromosome 17. [provided by RefSeq
