This protein protein interaction antibody pair set comes with two antibodies to detect the protein-protein interaction, one against the MAPK3 protein, and the other against the ATF2 protein for use in in situ Proximity Ligation Assay. See Publication Reference below.

HeLa cells were stained with anti-MAPK3 rabbit purified polyclonal antibody 1:1200 and anti-ATF2 mouse monoclonal antibody 1:50. Each red dot represents the detection of protein-protein interaction complex. The images were analyzed using an optimized freeware (BlobFinder) download from The Centre for Image Analysis at Uppsala University.

This gene encodes a transcription factor that is a member of the leucine zipper family of DNA binding proteins. This protein binds to the cAMP-responsive element (CRE), an octameric palindrome. The protein forms a homodimer or heterodimer with c-Jun and stimulates CRE-dependent transcription. The protein is also a histone acetyltransferase (HAT) that specifically acetylates histones H2B and H4 in vitro; thus it may represent a class of sequence-specific factors that activate transcription by direct effects on chromatin components.
