  • Applications
  • Western Blot (Tissue lysate)
  • Western Blot (Tissue lysate)
  • Western blot analysis of AKT2 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4550) in mouse liver tissue lysates (35 ug/lane). AKT2 (arrow) was detected using the purified AKT2 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4550) (1 : 60 dilution).
  • Western Blot (Transfected lysate)
  • Western Blot (Transfected lysate)
  • Western blot analysis of AKT2 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4550) in 293 cell line lysates transiently transfected with the AKT2 gene (2 ug/lane). AKT2 (arrow) was detected using the purified AKT2 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4550) (1 : 60 dilution).
  • Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
  • Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)
  • Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human colon carcinoma reacted with AKT2 polyclonal antibody (Cat # PAB4550) , which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining . This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated .

  • Gene Name:
  • AKT2
  • Gene Alias:
  • PKBB,PKBBETA,PRKBB,RAC-BETA
  • Gene Description:
  • v-akt murine thymoma viral oncogene homolog 2
  • Gene Summary:
  • This gene is a putative oncogene encoding a protein belonging to a subfamily of serine/threonine kinases containing SH2-like (Src homology 2-like) domains. The gene was shown to be amplified and overexpressed in 2 of 8 ovarian carcinoma cell lines and 2 of 15 primary ovarian tumors. Overexpression contributes to the malignant phenotype of a subset of human ductal pancreatic cancers. The encoded protein is a general protein kinase capable of phophorylating several known proteins. [provided by RefSeq
  • Other Designations:
  • Murine thymoma viral (v-akt) homolog-2,rac protein kinase beta
