The activity is determined by the dose-dependent proliveration of human TF-1 cells. The expected ED50 for this effect is 0.14-0.2 ng/mL.
Quality Control Testing:
1 ug/lane in 4-20% Tris-Glycine gel Stained with Coomassie Blue
Lane 1: non-reducing conditions Lane 2: reducing conditions
Storage Buffer:
Lyophilized from 10 mM Na2PO4, pH 7.5
Storage Instruction:
Store at -20°C on dry atmosphere. After reconstitution with sterilized water, store at -20°C or lower. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Note:
Result of activity analysis
Serial dilutions of human CSF2 (starting at 25 ng/mL) were added to TF1 cells. After 66 hours, cell proliferation was measured and the linear portion of the curve was us used to calculate the ED50.
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that controls the production, differentiation, and function of granulocytes and macrophages. The active form of the protein is found extracellularly as a homodimer. This gene has been localized to a cluster of related genes at chromosome region 5q31, which is known to be associated with interstitial deletions in the 5q- syndrome and acute myelogenous leukemia. Other genes in the cluster include those encoding interleukins 4, 5, and 13. [provided by RefSeq
