Abnova präsentiert den Protemist® XE, einen vollautomatischen Proteinsynthesizer im Tischformat zur kostengünstigen Proteinsynthese im Großmaßstab im zellfreien Weizenkeimexpressionssystem – entwickelt und hergestellt von CellFree Sciences Co., Ltd. Das Protemist® XE System ist ideal zur Herstellung von 10 mg bis über 500 mg Protein – genug für Strukturanalysen, funktionelle Analysen und zur Assayentwicklung. Das System arbeitet im "Filter-and-Feed"-Translationsverfahren mit programmgesteuerter Auffüllung von Translationspuffer und mRNA für eine maximale Proteinausbeute. Die Leistungsfähigkeit des Systems zeigt sich etwa an der Herstellung von Rohprotein im Großmaßstab (z.B. GFP): In einem 10-ml Reaktionsansatz können innerhalb von 24 h 50 mg Protein produziert werden. Das Reaktionsvolumen kann auf 20, 30 oder 40 ml erhöht werden.
