Mouse monoclonal antibody raised against synthetic peptide of EGFR.
Immunogen:
A synthetic peptide (conjugated with KLH) corresponding to amino acids 985-996 of human EGFR.
Host:
Mouse
Reactivity:
Human
Specificity:
Recognizes the internal domain with an epitope between amino acids 985-996 from the complete EGF receptor sequence of 1206 amino acids. It is thus about 200 residues from the C-terminus but just outside the region of sequence homology shared by the src oncogene family.
Form:
Liquid
Conjugation:
Biotin
Isotype:
IgG1
Recommend Usage:
Immunohistochemistry (1:50) The optimal working dilution should be determined by the end user.
Storage Buffer:
In 10 mM potassium phosphate buffer, 150 mM NaCl, 2 mM EDTA, pH 7.25 (1% BSA, 0.1% sodium azide)
Storage Instruction:
Store at 4°C. Do not freeze.
Note:
This product contains sodium azide: a POISONOUS AND HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE which should be handled by trained staff only.
The protein encoded by this gene is a transmembrane glycoprotein that is a member of the protein kinase superfamily. This protein is a receptor for members of the epidermal growth factor family. EGFR is a cell surface protein that binds to epidermal growth factor. Binding of the protein to a ligand induces receptor dimerization and tyrosine autophosphorylation and leads to cell proliferation. Mutations in this gene are associated with lung cancer.
