Transient overexpression cell lysate was tested with Anti-BID antibody (H00000637-M01) by Western Blots. SDS-PAGE Gel BID transfected lysate Western Blot Lane 1: BID transfected lysate ( 22 KDa). Lane 2: Non-transfected lysate.
Recommend Usage:
Use it directly for immuno-precipitation, or heat lysate with SDS gel loading buffer to 95°C for 5 minutes followed by rapid cooling for western blot application. If dissociating conditions are required, add reducing agent prior to heating.
Storage Buffer:
In modified RIPA Lysis Buffer.
Storage Instruction:
Store at -80°C. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
This gene encodes a death agonist that heterodimerizes with either agonist BAX or antagonist BCL2. The encoded protein is a member of the BCL-2 family of cell death regulators. It is a mediator of mitochondrial damage induced by caspase-8 (CASP8); CASP8 cleaves this encoded protein, and the COOH-terminal part translocates to mitochondria where it triggers cytochrome c release. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found, but the full-length nature of some variants has not been defined. [provided by RefSeq
